Week 72 – Happy Birthday My Love.

Another Saturday night has passed and I haven’t written the Blog. At least I woke this morning early – even if it was because of “Day Light Saving” which came into effect at 2 am this morning. Along came some rain – keep it coming.

Another major milestone has passed quietly – Jill’s Birthday on Friday. Lots of phone calls from the kids – this is good for the speech. When Michael rang I was outside and she tried to answer the VOIP (voice over Internet Phone) phone but pressed the wrong button. She also received a beautiful bunch of flowers – delivered.  Jeannette rang and spent some 30 minutes on the phone to Jill. Jill’s Aunty Jean came around with one of her famous sponges decorated for Jill’s birthday and stayed for tea. The birthday celebrations have continued into Saturday and Sunday. Chris and Nicole arrived yesterday and Allison and Chris will be here this morning. These are all positive as she has to speak to everyone.

Jill has been back on the Hytrin for about two weeks and I wish I could say there were lots of improvements. Like before it appears to make her very tired. She wants to preserver with it for the rest of the course of tablets about 2 months. She is also on a course of strong antibiotics to clear up that long lasting infection –fingers crossed. We have been walking down at the netball courts and out in the gym. Our effort on Friday was destroyed by a fly attack. We went to the netball courts and had to continually swat flies away, not that easy when you are walking with crutches – so they beat us and we headed home to the gym. No flies and airconditioned.

We are thinking about a week or two away in December with Jeanette and Gavin – it would be great to get away. They have booked into stay at Echuca caravan Park – does sound good. It is only about an hours drive from here.

No animals this morning – too many others in the house to give them attention.

See you next week on the net.
