Week 89 – McDonnell’s Bakery

The van is still sitting in the driveway – a slight hiccup. Jill had a tumble late last week which shook her up and has a very sore bottom. We went to the chiropractor on Monday and things improved temporally. We have another appointment and hope that things will improve on a more permanent basis. Even with a sore bottom she has continued her exercises on the crazy machine and swimming pool as well as voice on the vocastim and computer. The wind has made it a bit cool in the pool so we will hope that it drops away and we can get back into the water.

With the van idle I decided on a couple of changes. I put some sliding boxes in the cupboards and some spice racks on the doors. I have placed them so that they will not jump out while on a rough track. Today I will remove the gas cylinders and repaint the drawer bar where they have been rubbed and showing some rust.

I have amazed my self with all the junk in my shed – well not junk really just stuff not sorted so that you can find anything. During the week I put a shelf above the new washing machine and adjusted a couple of the sliding doors as well as the laundry cupboard doors. I spent about an hour searching for some fittings I was certain were there. Therefore my next thing is to sort out all the boxes and drawers in the shed. Considering they have been added to over the past forty years and when Murdock rd was sold a few more just got tipped on top. If anyone wants to hang a picture – we must have a hundred hooks – I guess every time we wanted to hang a picture I got another pack. That comes from owning a hardware store – Keenan’s Hardware Corner. All I need is plenty of containers so that things can be labelled once they are sorted.

We are back making our own bread and the smell of freshly baked bread in the morning is terrific. I enjoy making it – well actually the bread machine does all the work. I often wonder what my grandfather (William McDonnell- mum’s father) would have thought. He was a baker in Bealiba and Maryborough, Victoria. We have an old cook book which belonged to him and there are some recipes for baking commercial quantities. Cakes for the bakery – Sliced ices – ½ lb butter , 27 eggs, 9 cups of flour& 9 cups of sugar. A page set aside for bake house requirements , yeast, ferment and bread He would not believe an electric machine to make a loaf of bread. The bread mix we are using is Laucke – MULTIGRAIN Bread Mix, makes 4 loafs – tastes great.

I started writing this entry last night and got side tracked looking at MSA web sites in HOPE but nothing of any great interest so will keep looking.

See you next week on the net

    Dear Mac & Jill,
I believe I’ve found a simple treatment which will give better health to many – regardless of illness, condition, diagnosis or cause.
I suffered horrific neurological symptoms – I experimented for many months with it and many other things which suppressed my symptoms and after 18 months, my symptoms started to reverse. It wasn’t an over night fix it all by any means.
Several people whith all sorts of illnesses and conditions said they had better health whilst taking what I suggested.
Please email if you are interested in my research and findings.
    Regards
    ainee
