Last week I sat at the computer with Jake at my feet today its ANTS. I sat down , checked emails and the next thing I noticed was a couple of ants on the keyboard, then a couple trying to crawl over my feet. Looking down there was a track leading from the front door across the entrance past my desk and into the pantry. They had found the honey jar. Jill hates me cleaning things out of the pantry, I am forever putting things a different place. To day she can help me sort out the pantry after I have removed the ants. Well that was my start to the day.
The weather is as I forecast last week 40C+ each day and yesterday was the hottest at 43.7C although our back veranda recorded 50.5C and even with the evaporative air conditioning running all night last night the inside was still 23C. Thank heavens for the swimming pool. We have been in each day with Jill walking back and forth across the pool – 20 times last night and very proud of her self. We just wish we could transfer that to out of the water. With the Gym so hot we decided to exercise with the Wii fit in the comfort of the lounge and air conditioning. I have muscles that I for got existed and it has taken me a few days to get over it. Jill was proud as it showed her Wii age as less than her actual age. She is improving in her ability to do the exercises and it is different to me pushing. Lorna and her grand kids have been in the pool each morning, but they are of to school next week. Our thoughts are with the people in Gippsland fighting the bush fires and especially those that have lost their homes.
On Thursday we received our vanity unit and it was the first time Jill had seen it. Her first comment was that it wouldn’t fit. I proved that not only would it fit but she could still get into the shower with the wheelie walker in tow. I have been biding on eBay for a mixer tap. Missed out last night but there is an other one that finishes today, fingers crossed. I need to organise a plumber to install it. I will add a before and after photo next week.
Jill wants some cherries so I will head to the market this morning to see what is available. There is also a boat and fishing show at Apex Park I would like to have a look at before it gets to hot.
