Week 126 – Day 13-14 ” the third Stem cell injection”

The kids have told me just give the facts- don’t flower it. I hate doing that but with the way things have been in the past week maybe that would have been the best. However bear with me and now I feel a lot better we may get back on track.

Another night and day have passed and I am sitting in front of the computer listening to the ABC and keeping an eye on Jill. She has just returned from theatre for her third stem cell injection and because of the sedation they use while administering the stem cells she is quite sleepy. They came and picked her up about 1.50pm and she was back in our room at 2.25pm. Since being back she has had her blood pressure and temperature taken twice. The nurse just changed the IV and woke her. I asked how she was feeling. She said that the doctor called her Jill not the favourite JILLIAN and asked what she wanted to do; she told him that she wanted to go home. Some how I don’t think that was the answer he expected.

Last night was Jill’s best since we arrived with only one visit to the toilet, although she had a disturbed sleep, probably the anxiety of the stem cells etc. We seem to be still having a problem with the language interpretation. We understood after a visit by a doctor yesterday that the thirds stem cell had been cancelled because of her cold – wrong. As you can see she had it today. We also asked if there was anything in the TCM that may help the sleep apnoea and while Jill was in bed recovering from the stem cells a TCM doctor arrived to see Jill. So currently that has yet to be looked at. I have emailed our doctor in Australia for Jill’s sleep study results and see if that helps clarify the situation.

Jill is holding out for a drink – she has about 10 minutes to go. I have ordered dinner – same as last night as it will be easy for Jill to handle while in bed. The weather has been very overcast and our clothes line (window ledge) has not worked very well. We are almost in a situation of running out of underwear, so we are hoping tomorrow will be a bit better.

I will get Jill to write a shopping list for Mary and include some vegetables and salad to give us a bit of variety. Tomorrow is a FREE day and as we have been locked up in our room I hope that Jill will feel well enough to walk up the passage to the lounge or even up to the PE room if it’s open.

Jill’s had her drink and dinner has arrived – however Jill still has 1.5 hours to wait before she can eat anything. The time has passed and she is hungry – ate a few chicken wings and wanted a drink of apple. So a quick dash down to the shop.

On the way down the passage I noticed that Al Vergona a US internet friend has been allocated into room 1. I will make my self known tomorrow.

Still a couple of hours , I have tried to read part of Jill’s book ” The Tenth Circle” by Jodi Picoult to her , what a weird book and extremely hard to read aloud. I think I will leave it to Jill to read.

Her position in the bed didn’t allow her to watch the TV or one of the DVD’s and truthly I don’t think she was up to it. Finally the nurses came in for the final BP and Temperature and she was able to get up and go to the toilet. Back to bed and a disturbed sleep until 7 am. I have downloaded some images on a folding toilet support arm and adjustable toilet chair to give the staff here an idea what is required in the bathroom to assist Jill . In the short term I will purchase an adjustable toilet chair.

Well JUST THE FACTS ????

See you tomorrow on the net.

One Response to Week 126 – Day 13-14 ” the third Stem cell injection”

  1. Alfred Kok TL says:

I think it would be a great idea if we can have something to induce our body to continue producing Stem Cells at a consistent rate, say at the same consistent rate from age 20-years old to 2,000 years old.

Certain food like ginseng, Co-enzyme Q10 and Green Tea are claimed to be Stem Cell booster. And so is daily active walking, jogging and swimming for at least an hour.

Some how if we can boost our Bone Marrows to remain active forever, our body will not be short of Stem Cell and thus can avoid being prematurely Shut-down at 60 – 100 years old; but can continue functioning and functioning as long as we desired.

Know why most UFOnauts looked like One Thousand years old man, well you need to live that old if you want fly from one galaxy to the other.
