It looks like we have survived another year. We sat up until midnight and watched the fireworks welcome in 2013. We are still on phone alert for the arrival of our new grandchild. Every time the phone or laptop beeps Jill says have a look.
Jill and I woke up to celebrate our 47th wedding anniversary this morning. It is the first time I didn’t get any flowers. Because it is Jan 1st it has been impossible to get flowers delivered so I normally buy them and hide them overnight. I went to the florist – totally sold out and the other florist was shut. Decided I would try the supermarkets – no such luck. I finished up buying a coffee mug for the caravan with a peony rose on it .
