Week 49 – New arrivals Jude and Brennan

Rain – arrived this week almost 2 inches (45mm) on Thursday and more on the way. It seems to have been fairly wide spread. I went out the front on Friday morning and in the garden next door was a large patch of mushrooms. I wish they were in our garden.

Jill’s sister Jeanette and Gavin are off on their epic journey around OZ- the left this morning and are spending their first night in Horsham. They are in a group- an Avan and 2 Jayco pop-tops. Their itinerary takes them via Alice Springs, Darwin , down the west coast and then back across the Nullabor. Don’t we all wish we were part of the convoy.

We had a phone call from Jill’s brother yesterday to pass on his exciting news of the arrival of their first grand child, Jude Martin on Thursday. Congratulations Rebekka and Tom.

Next news Chris and Nicole had their walk through of their new home on Friday morning and take their keys in a couple of weeks. They are excited and just can’t wait to move in. Chris’s business partner also had a new baby- Brennan. Congratulation Nick and Belinda

This week in the Keenan household has been relatively quiet. We arrived back from Bendigo on Sunday evening and were welcomed home by Jess. The drive certainly takes some toll out on Jill and it was Wednesday before she got back into the exercise regime. We were in the gym on Monday but Jill found it very tiring and much the same on Tuesday. Beth’s exercises are very important to Jill and she is anxious to do them each day. Her back and knee are causing a lot of pain and are making some of the exercises very difficult. Beth was here on Friday and manipulated Jill’s back and gave her a few more exercises to help with the back. We went down to the netball courts in the afternoon and Jill is concentrating on lifting her feet as she walks. This is important as she basically needs to concentrate on this aspect of walking to make it an automatic process. With us walking and me saying LIFT YOUR FEET – I am becoming very unpopular.

I have been out to the caravan repairer and everything is progressing very well. He is waiting on the upholsterer to do the cushions and a few other changes should see the van finished towards the end of the week – fingers crossed. Our carport is to be raised this week so that we can house the van in our drive

As usual about this time of the night Jess has appeared and is now sitting on the arm of my chair and Jake is at my feet – time to be fed – I often wonder what they would say if they could talk.

See you next week on the net
