Week 50 – Only for horses and dogs

We started this evening watching the football – Bombers and the Tigers – which commenced with the curtain raiser with the indigenous players from the Tiwi Islands (which is off the coast from Darwin NT). The small amount we saw showed some unbelievable play. This was followed by the entertainment and finally the main game. Chris and the staff from work are at the game.

We have had a quite week – Jill has an infection and this has slowed down our exercising. The infection has been around for some time and the antibiotics have not been any good. The doctor has decided to take her off the medication and see if we can settle things down. When we were at the doctors on Monday we were talking about Jill’s back and knees and he said we should try some Rapigel which is an ointment used for muscle and joint pain. He went on to tell us it is only available from Veterinary supplies. It is a horse and dog ointment. I went to the local saddle shop and when I asked about Rapigel, Paul told me lots of arthritis suffers swear by it. We have been using it for the week and Jill said she smelt like a horse – not really it has a eucalyptus fragrance. I think I should have the best hands around – what with massaging Jill’s legs with oil, and her knees and back with the horse gel. We are still waiting for some information on “Terazosin”. Our neurologist is away overseas until the middle of June

We went out to Pat & Keith’s farm last Sunday and got to see Pat’s certificate she received from the State Government for her 50 years of teaching. She told Jill about her evening at Crown Casino and the afternoon at Yarrunga with the staff and friends. We have at last caught up with Jean and were shown her medal she was presented with for her 58 years service with the Red Cross.

We have finally had a visit from our builder – he is to start on the carport roof on Monday morning. Just as well the caravan is still not completed – I went out to the caravan repairer and it is proceeding well –the seat and table are almost completed and looks just as I imagined it would. He is waiting for the annex walls to arrive and thinks he should be completed towards the end of next week.

We guess that Jeanette and Gavin are at Yulara by now and have been out to the Uluru for some photos. From their itinerary they have been to Woomera and Coober Pedy – I bet Jeanette is now the proud owner of some very nice opal.

It’s half time at the G and the Tigers have taken the lead by 3 points. Jess has just arrived at my feet and you can guess why.

We just received an Email from Gavin & Jeanette – from Yulara. Photo attached is Uluru – a view from a small hill within the camping ground, near sunset.

See you next week on the net.
