It has taken several days for Jill to get over the wedding. A few sleepless nights but finally she has wound down. I am certain it was adrenalin and strength saw her through the adventure. Monday was a complete loss but finally we have been back in the Gym and are back on track. I visited my mum and took her a set of photos and relived Jill’s adventure. She was so pleased that Jill had been able to dance at the wedding and especially dance with Chris.
Chris and Nicole arrived in Wangaratta on Tuesday evening while Jill was exercising and surprised her. They stayed overnight and visited Scott (best man) and Alicia as well as Grandma Keenan. Grandma had been given a bottle of champagne by the staff at St Catherines to celebrate the wedding since she could not go. She presented the champagne to Nicole & Chris and listened to them tell her all about the wedding. They had tea with Scott and Alicia and came home with a copy of the photos Alicia had taken. Wednesday morning they were up early and headed off north to Hervey Bay and Kingfisher Resort on Fraser Island,
In the Gym we have a white board with Jill’s exercises on it as well as the goal “To dance at Chris and Nicole’s wedding” and the word “completed” which Nicole had added to it. Jill said for me to put up her NEW GOAL – “to go for a trip in our caravan”
We had Beth (our physio) here on Wednesday afternoon and she massaged and manipulated Jill’s back which is still causing a lot of problems when she tries to walk. It seems to help for a couple of days. She was back on Friday with a strap on knee support to help stabilise Jill’s left knee which also hinders her walking.
Jill has been on my back to do a couple of things to get the van ready for a trip. We are going to change the seating set up and add a pull out step to make it easier to get into, also add solar panels to make us a little more independent. I have contacted a couple of caravan repairers and hope to have a price this week.
Allison and Chris have added a new member to their house hold. Oscar an eight week old Birman kitten to keep Tia company.
Jill has just headed off to bed and Jess is sitting on the table next to the computer and Jake is asleep at my feet.
I guess it must be time for bed – see you next week on the net.
