Week 131 ” Small Miracles come when unexpected”

Our first full week home and we are both getting back to normal life duties. Jill has been on the crazy exercise machine each day and we have had one venture out to the gym. She has been sleeping much better since we have been home. Last week while I was shopping Jill wrote me a small letter – only 6 lines. This was the first time she had written other that a shopping list or signed her name in 4-5 years. The most fantastic thing was I could read it and the lines were straight. A small miracle – but huge in the scheme of things. Her writing in general has improved and she is quite pleased to have a go at adding things to my shopping lists or list of jobs to complete. Like all the other things practice is important. The first thing we noticed when Jill had her stem cells in Shenzhen was her writing – she wrote a shopping list as I called out the items – that was the start.

Like the doctors from Shenzhen and again those from Qingdao we are all looking for the improvements. I see some things and then I’m not sure, was that like that before or not. I am certain over the next several months things will change for the better.

There will only be one group left in Qingdao of those we met – Al & Joanna left yesterday to head for home USA.

Birthday week, last Thursday was Allison’s Birthday, coming up on Wednesday is my mothers Birthday  Gwen Keenan – 95 and still going strong. She has her goals like we have – “I’ll be around till my birthday”, then “I’ll be around till Christmas” and so on. While paying Mum’s news paper account, the owner asked me how mum was and he missed seeing her each week when she came to pay her bill. He told me he had made a date with her to visit her on her 100th birthday – a way out goal.

A couple of website has come to our notice.   www.repairstemcells.org This site gives directions to stem cell treatment centre’s for many varied diseases.

Another site which Al reminded me of is  www.facebook.com where a group of us who have gone through the Beike stem cell program meet to discuss various related topics.  The group is called “stem cell recipients“.  It currently has a small membership but is growing. – Al .

There is also another China Stem cell recipient group at  www.stemcellsforhope.org
We are about to have lunch
