Week 51 – Rain , rain, rain

Rain on the roof– to wake in the middle of the night and hear rain, sounds terrific. This week has been one of those we have been hoping for. It has rained most days and there is more to come. It has slowed work on the carport. The builder arrived at 8am Monday morning and by the evening the roof of the old carport was removed and numbered so that it could go back. Tuesday they were back and the height was established and construction under way – mid afternoon the rain arrived and I didn’t see them again until Thursday after noon for about an hour before the rain was back again. Fortunately Friday was clear and the roof was replaced and the extension almost complete. The only problem, the cladding for the extension had not been ordered and will not arrive until late next week. Fingers crossed. I hope to get the frame painted before the caravan arrives back and the columns bricked.

I have been out to the caravan repairer and he has almost completed everything and I should be able to bring it back and put it in its new home. I have been looking at reversing cameras to be mounted on the caravan and Jeep – I am having trouble making a decision on the monitor. We have been preparing a caravan check list – This keeps the goal in our mind. Jill is desperate to get away for a while.

Like last week we have been relatively quiet – the rain has stopped us going to the netball courts. We have been in the gym on most days and completed all the exercises. Jill has been feeling a little bit better and we will need to continue with the procedure we were on last week before we head back to the doctor.

We haven’t heard from the OZ travellers since last Saturday – but I will try to include a different photo from their travels each week – just to make everyone envious.

Sunday morning- Recieved email from Oz Travellers this morning so have added two more photos – Is is great to say “We have been there”

Well my mates are here early to night – see you next week on the net.
