Week 99 – Vitamin D3

I woke up late this morning and could hear Jake at the back door trying to attract our attention. When I walked up the passage I could smell the aroma of freshly baked bread. I baked a loaf of Soy & Linseed.

Another week has passed – it has been fairly quiet. Jill has contracted a mild dose of the flu and as usual I panic and had her to our doctors. He gave her the results of all the tests and x-rays from last week and they were mostly OK. One of the tests showed up Jill was low in Vitamin D3. Jill is on a calcium supplement which contains Vitamin D, but guess we will have to spend more time in the sunshine. We have been restricted to the gym and the crazy machine this week with the overcast and cold weather. I tried to keep Jill in out of the cold.

Speaking of weather – we had a few showers during the week but they hardly registered on the internet weather site – the monitoring site is located at the Wangaratta Airport which is south east of Wangaratta about 4 k from home. On Friday evening when I went to visit Mum there was a thunderstorm which lasted about 20 – 30 minutes and was heavy enough for me to sit in the car until it eased. Yet it only registered 5mm. I then decided to buy a rain gauge. I had noticed one at Super Cheap Auto. So after lunch on Saturday I went and got one. When I had seen them a couple of months ago they were $27.00 or a real cheap one for $4.95. To my surprise the more expensive one was on special – $8.00  and even more to my surprise as I went out the check out they were only $6.00. I immediately went back and picked up three more. The whole family can now keep us up to date on the rain fall. Sorry there was only one left.

We added some more plants behind the spa and I suggested that we put some hanging baskets up as well. Jill said you are just like your father.

I will have to get Jill out today as the sun is shining and it looks great out there.

See you next week on the net.
