Week 95 – Goodbye – daylight saving

Day light saving has finished – as we went to bed last night I went around and reset the clocks – an extra hour’s sleep awaited me. Except Jessie was awake and meowing at the passage door – where are you? We have had breakfast and it’s only 7.30am and Jill is listening to Macca down in Tassie. I have even changed the batteries in the smoke detectors.

Weeks pass and every now and then I meet someone while shopping and get asked what retirement is like. It’s not what we had expected when we thought of it several years ago and started to plan in our minds. Eventually we would sell the house and move to the warmth of Queensland. The family would come to visit and may even move there with us. Obviously we have had to change our thoughts as to what we can do. The van is still the retirement venture and we will eventually get that opportunity to taste some freedom. That’s when the animals allow us.

Jill has started her ninth bottle of Xango – wish I could see some changes and maybe there is, but other things happen to mask any improvements. This week started well with our final dental appointment and our teeth look fantastic. Followed by a chiropractor appointment and Jill has been at the netball courts for a walk. Wednesday came and one of those things that mask improvements happened, Jill had a tumble in the passage and has a couple of blue/black bruises on her back and front. This has certainly shook her up and caused her a fair bit of pain. She has done very little exercise except for the Crazy machine, speech and breathing for the rest of the week.

I have been back on EBay looking for some cheaper alternative medicines for Jill. I found CoQ10 in 100mgm capsules with 200 caps per bottle; the biggest we have been able to buy has been 60mgm but only 40 caps per bottle and they work out a bit cheaper and mean fewer caps per dose. The other item is Ambrotose Complex Powder which we are bidding on at the moment and if we win will be much cheaper.

We started nameing some photos we had scanned into the computer – the photos were from an album the Jill’s mum Nancy had kept. A couple are below.

I have one of those retirement jobs to do – clean a very dirty car and swimming pool- following the wind and dust storm that spread its way across Victoria. We were lucky the wind was not as severe as in Melbourne and coastal areas. The pool looks greenish brown with all the dust lying on the bottom and the filtration pump is screaming – a bearing has gone. I will need to take it off and have the bearing replaced.

I have also decided on another addition to the van – I am going to put some sail track on each end of the van as well as the opposite side to the door. I will have some shade cloth made up to allow us to give shade to the fridge as well as more areas around the van where you can sit depending on position. I am also considering installing a fan in the rear of the fridge to increase the air flow so that the fridge performs more efficiently in the hotter weather. More retirement jobs – they keep coming.

I am being called so will see you next week on the net

We were looking at the holden premier in the background at Pt Lonsdale in Allison’s photo.Keith’s dad owned it when you upgraded and later Kym when he died and Keith converted it to gas.

How will you know what’s working if you are changing products after two months. It typically takes the body a two to three months to begin to regenerate. Co10 is a wonderful product and is necessary for combating some issues, and ambrotose is also a good product. The body has its’s own agenda and oftimes our agenda of wants differ from what our bodies have. I would tell you to look at how long the recovery has been in the past for the types of issues that you say have been masking your noticing results and factor that in before changing. If you really want to see what Xango has done quit using it and other suppplements that are purported to have similar results and see waht the outcome is.

Good luck and keep the faith.

The pictures are quite nice. Enjoy retirement.

    Hi,

I found your website when I was searching for information via the internet, as my father was diagnosed with MSA (he is 68) about a year ago. They believed he had a stroke as well at first, then Parkinson’s, then finally diagnosed with MSA. We live in New York. Over the past year, he has degenerated quite a bit, from his speech to walking, as he currently uses a walker. My mother was looking on the internet as well, for maybe a more homepathic treatment, but I too, have heard of using stem cells. Since this is not really an option for us, due to financial constraints, I was wondering if you could suggest anything that has made Jill feel better other then the stem cells?

Thanks so much for having put up your website, as it becomes helpful and uplifting as well as comforting, and GOD BLESS YOU BOTH
