Week 75 – That Crazy Machine

I think summer has arrived early – we have had a string of 35C days this week. I appear to be suffering memory loss. I opened the air-conditioning vents- even went overboard and washed each one – look like new. Next move was to turn on the evaporative cooler.I watch the controller to make sure it worked – the symbol of the fan rotated and the pump light flashed – everything was working. After a few minuted the fan cut in and to my surprise the air was hotter than inside. My guess was the pump was seized . A phone call to the service company only to be told they were busy and it would be late in the week before they could get here. It was actually this morning when he arrived and I explained that I thought the pump was had it. After a short while he came in and said there was no water at all. I suddenly had a memory flash – I had turned of the water to the cooler at the end of summer. We have put up with the house being hot all week because I had forgotten the tap. Today has been great we have watched the Cricket in the cool. It hasn’t been all that bad as we have been exercising in the gym which has its own air-conditioner.

We took delivery of a new piece of exercise equipment this week. Chris and Nicole had been to one of the Home Expos in Melbourne and had seen a vibrating exercise unit which has low impact. Thinking of Jill’s knees and balance, Chris rang and suggested we have a look at the web site. This was a few months ago and I finally looked on EBay and found the “Crazy Massage Machine”. So a few bids later we are now the owners. We have both tried it – there are several ways of exercising on it – standing – kneeling and sitting. The variable speed controls how much you get shook up. According to the book of instructions as below we will be fantastic after using it. Time will tell

“The exercise is to help you remove the fat rather than to making you on diet and diarrhoea, so it won’t be rebound, further more, you just need to exercise for 5-10 minutes every day, the calories consumption is equal to jog for one hour, just 5 minutes–you must be ok to you, right? By using this 5 minutes, Gentleman can have a strong and handsome body, ladies can have a attractive stature. You can surely take easy to use it; you will have health, beauty and confidence once you have it.”

We had a slight hiccup on Tuesday – Jill had a tumble and landed on her back – She has a very sore behind and was fairly shook up. Fortunately we had a visit with Leo our Chiropractor on Wednesday and he spent some time manipulating and working on her pressure points. She is still a bit sore but improving. We haven’t been down to the netball courts this week – too hot even after the tea. We will certainly have to be down there next week or in the swimming pool as well. No animals yet a bit too early for them.

See you next week on the net.
