Week 123 “HOPE is the only thing we have” Stem cells give us this.

Another week has passed and it seems to become inevitable that I am getting later with the blog. We went down to Chris and Nicole’s to help set up the raised garden beds we started several weeks ago. Chris had them located just needed some finishing touches and then filling them with garden soil & compost.

We also weeded the front area in preparation for some lawn. Nicole is going to plant the garden beds next week end while Chris cleans up our piles of weeds and gets some turf and lays it. We took Jake down to see how he would go away from home. He was great during the day but evening he eventually spent the night in the bedroom with us. Michael arrived on Sunday and we are both looking much smarter with our new hair styles.

Well finally after lots of consideration we are off to China on the 2nd of November. We fly out with Cathay Pacific at 1.20am Sunday morning and arrive in Hong Kong at 7.15am local time , after a three hour wait we fly via Dragon Airways to Qingdao ( 3 hour flight) arriving about 1.30pm Sunday. We will be away until the 3rd December. We have lots of things to organise over this next couple of weeks, gardens, pets, mail and the payment of bills that always keep coming. We have a doctor’s appointment this morning – asking questions about medications, osteoporosis and a bone density test to take to China. We need to take enough medication for Jill to last 45 days as a precaution there fore we need to organise prescriptions for all of them. Maybe we can reduce some when we return. Jill has a list of items she wants before we head off – clothes for her and nothing for me. I think Jake and Jess are aware something is up and are hanging close. I told mum about our new adventure and she had difficulty working our how long we will be away. Barry and Margaret are keeping us up to date with train travel in Spain – having a great time I expect. Our copy of “The Brain that changes itself” arrived and Jill has been engrossed and has almost finished it. She has given it the thumbs up and keeps telling me about it. I will take it to China to read.
More about China as we get closer to departure.

The following is the weather forecast for Qingdao.
