Week 25 – A smile makes all the difference

This has been a quiet week, Jill has continued to do her exercises in the gym, but they still tire her out. She is blaming the morphine and is keen to reduce the amount to zero. Our physio has been here on Wednesday and Friday and has given Jill a few different exercises which are designed to give her more flexibility in her back.

To Jill’s delight Beth had her back on the crutches – for a couple of circuits around our lounge, dinning and kitchen. We have also been outside – down the steps with the aid of our new balustrade.

I mentioned that we are looking for a home for Mum’s cat Jessie , well its new home is here with Jake and she moves in on Sunday –fingers crosses they tolerate each other. The vet gave me few ideas as well as a sedative for each of them.

Some bad news a couple of weeks ago Allison’s Birman cat Maddy passed away after being bitten by a snake – Allison and Chris have had her for 9 years and they are missing her They actually had two Maddy and Tia. I guess Tia will be also missing her mate.

We have had visitors this week Jill’s sister Jeannette and Gavin stayed overnight – having spent a week at Echuca Caravan Park in their Avan which has made us a bit envious. We have added another goal to our list – a trip in our van which has been parked out at Pat’s since before China.

They left for home midmorning and Chris and Nicole arrived. It is great to have the company and Jill gets a real lift when they are here. Chris has purchased a new camera a Canon 400D and he took a great picture of Jill which I have included below.

We have been keeping in contact with Rachel and her husband and they are off to China on Boxing day for stem cell treatment and we wish them all the best , I will add Rachel’s blog site to our links so that you can keep an eye on her progress and send her some words of encouragement.

It’s almost midnight so we will see you on the net next week.

Jill - with that great SMILE
