Day Eighteen – another humid day

The best night in about 15. We both slept the whole night. Our masseuse arrived at 8.30 and I thought I explained Jill’s back was tender where the injection when in and that her neck was a bit tender and to be careful with the massage. My English – Chinese loses a bit in its translation .Jill put up with it – but the massage tends to make her tired. She is still on the herbal IV, until next Monday.

We were able to talk to Dr Liang about the Blood pressure tests yesterday, and he explained to our satisfaction , they had been looking for a difference which is common for some MSA sufferers but Jill’s pressure was constant which was OK.

We had a wonderful surprise this morning when Sunny arrived with a beautiful Bouquet of Flowers ( I will enclose a photo) as my description will not do it justice. Our kids had organised them with Jon and his staff to get the flowers. It was a fantastic thing for Jill and again she shed some tears.

The weather is quite warm and we decided to have McDonald’s again. I made the trip down the road and went into what I thought was Gome Electronics Store. The whole bottom floor was like a market with vendors selling, clothing, shoes, watches, toys, electronic things and mobile phones. Then up the escalator was a Retravision on steroids. Computers, Cameras, Phones, TVs Fridges, water machines, stoves, small appliances and anything else you can imagine. All the staff in uniforms.

I went from there back to Smegs Computer store for another try at some more bargaining, but I must have lost the touch and finally I walked away for a chance to try again another day. On the way back I stopped at Giordano Clothing Store and purchased a couple of tops for Jill. My guess was right and they fitted. On the way back I passed an old Chinese man with a long white beard sitting on the footbath rattling a bowl. He gave me this great big grin – I only had large notes and nothing I could drop in the bowl and I felt guilty.

Another Rehab and Voice again this afternoon and Jill is very tired so back to our room, I ordered Chinese for dinner once again. Margaret it has a totally different taste. I think in Australia they make it to suite the western requirements. As usual we will have enough for lunch tomorrow for $11A

We are listening to 3AW. Chris the Bombers are not going to win tonight. Jill picked the Kangas to win by 35 points so you can guess who she is barracking for.

These days are all very similar and seem to merge into one another. It will be good on Sunday we may get a chance to get a taxi and go and do something different. No massage or doctors visits. We have to wait for the IV to be completed usually takes a couple of hours to run through.

Those fantastic Flowers – don’t forget to double click on the photos to enlarge them

One Response to Day Eighteen – another humid day

  1. Allison & Chris says:

    Hi Mum & Dad,

The flowers are beautiful. Jon & Sunny did a good job. The lilies are the same as in my flowers from Chris. They smell beautiful. They will help to brighten up you fluoro lit room. (as it is too hot to have the curtains open – heat coming through, for anyone else who is reading this)
As you saw via web cam the other night, Chris has progressed to a walking stick around the house, he doesn’t like it. Anyway he was able to cook a steak on the BBQ, for the first time in 3 months. He was just excited to use the BBQ, his domain.
It is raining this morning, windy, winter! Though we have only had 1.4 ml, it is currently 10 C. Got down to 4.1 C last night.
Swans play Dockers tonight, got the footy food ready.
Enjoy your weekend, it will be good if you can get out. Go to Starbucks and enjoy a coffee, just make sure you check the pictures and get the right ones. Have a lamington & chocolate eclair for me, but avoid the pastries. They just do not understand pastries over there.
Wish I had had a chance to try Dim Sum, so make sure that you both do, before you come home.
Thinking of you both. Glad the flowers were a welcome surprise. Speak to you later. Love you.
    Allison
