Week 341-2 “Hinged Ring”

I think Jill believes her whole existence evolves around exercise. Her physio has been here three times a week and Jill insists on bed  exercise and sit to stands each day. The improvement is very noticeable.  It certainly takes time and her energy levels are sapped by the end of each session.

This week she has had a couple of two hour sessions – first hour physical and the second is lymphatic massage. The fluid build up is annoying Jill and following the massage you caqn see the difference. On Friday following the massage  we had a visit from another therapist who measured Jill for compression stockings – made to measure. They will be here next week and Jill is to wear them during the day. We had to take off all Jill’s rings due to the swelling from fluid in her hands. While at the specialists  , after I mentioned the rings he gave us a pamphlet ” Abrecht Bird Hinged Ring” It is a hinged ring system to bypass large or swollen knuckles. I rang their office and was informed that any ring can be modified or that the hinge can be applied to a new ring.

Their web site is : www.abrecht.com

They are sending me a sizing chart so that I can match Jill’s rings to it. They also can join two rings together as one – Jill has her engagement and wedding rings which I will do this to and her eternity ring which has a larger band I will do as a single. As Jill said the last time we had to do any thing was when one of the kids was born and in the middle of the night I had to cut of her engagement ring with a pair of side cutting pliers. I think that time she thought I was going to remove her finger.

Jill wants to go for a drive in the car – so I will see how this can be managed in the next couple of days. We need to make sure that we can achieve that then try getting into the van etc. We have about 2-3 months as our new grandchild will be here in January 2013. Then there will be the trip to Melbourne to visit her/him.

Well Macca has just about finished on the radio , Jill has had breakfast and her medication and will want to get up.

See you soon on the net
