Week 271 “Another day in Paradise”

Still relaxing in Hervey Bay – enjoying beautiful days and cool evenings. Afternoon teas along the esplanade and we found Maddigan’s  Fish & chips which are really great – choice of all types of local fish. we had Coral trout for dinner the other night.

Jill is much better from the tooth only had panadol twice yesterday – much better than every 4 hours. She still has Riley’s cold and it is like a small explosion when she sneezes with the CPAP mask on. Especially when she is asleep and she wakes in a panic. After the tooth ache she is starting to relax and enjoy Paradise – When we sat on the pier yesterday and had lunch several people spoke to us and the  said to us ‘ It’s Paradise here”  I went to the Park office asked about extending our stay. Only to be told the park is full which was obvious but they would see what they could arrange and I received an phone call and was told they had been able to move some sites and we could have ours until the 27th – next Wednesday we will pack up and head off on Thursday morning – not sure where we will head to for the first night stay. Most likely Rainbow Beach so we can finally get the Saturn TV antena checked out. Reception is very spasmodic and is not much better when we connect directly to the Caravan Park system. I have noticed lots of complaints in the Caravan forum about reception in this area of Queensland. There is a lot of vans at the park with their satellite dishes out.
Lorna keeps telling us how cold Wangaratta is and I’m not sure we would like that – although we are missing Jessie. Lorna tells me the Recliners have arrived and as usual I’m impatient and would love to get them installed. I have been able to buy the components that make up the removable tables that go with the chairs.
Exercise has been limited- only doing massage and bed exercises but will hope we can do some leg exercises this week – the pressure on the tooth meant that she was in pain every time we attempted anything. I have done a reasonable amount pushing the wheel chair so my exercise regime is on track. Would love to get Jill down onto the sand and let her put her feet into the sea. The sand is so soft I’m not game – so will have to develop an “OFF ROAD WHEEL CHAIR” for next time or better still think positive and make sure Jill can walk on the sand. There is probably already one I will Google it and see what comes up.
The  Rifampicin  trials have commenced in the USA and we hope for some feed bcd over the next 12 months.I will follow up the chances for Jill to do a self trial when we get back as we have an appointment the week after we return.
I wish I could add some photos but I still have not got a program to manipulate our photos to work on the Macpro.
Yesterday two vans moved in opposite us – they were Kedron Vans – we have watched the Gall Boys – Kedron van videos and I hope I can get a chance to have a look at one of them.
Time to get up  see you soon on the net
