Week 55 – A new home.

Another week has passed and the results from the doctor were disappointing and Jill has been down emotionally. We are trying another natural treatment as well as another we found on the net which consists of asparagus and hollandaise sauce – we will have to wait to see how that goes.

I have just spoken to Chris and they are about to spend their first night in the new home. He sounds pretty excited – will ring us tomorrow to let us know how things went. I just learnt about a wager he had with Jill. Jill is a Melbourne supporter and Chris supports Essendon. They played against each other last night and even though Melbourne were leading with about 30 seconds to play they actually lost by 2 points. Consequently Jill lost the bet – which was that Jill has to come to Melbourne to see the new home. This becomes one of Jill’s goals to be reached. We actually have an appointment with Jill’s neurologist on the June 12 – so if things improve over the next week we should be able to get there.

Allison and Chris headed off to Fraser Island for the school holidays this morning after a last minute hitch late yesterday when the battery in the Pathfinder died and left Allison stranded at the Kindergarten. They are lucky that it happened there and not on Fraser Island. Chris is certain they will catch some Tailor while they are there – so we should have some pictures in a couple of weeks.

I was up early this morning, moved the Jeep out of the drive pending the arrival of the bricklayer to complete the bricking of the last two columns. Jill’s comment when he left last week after I had paid for the work to date that he would not turn up – She was right.I will have to ring and chase him up.

We haven’t heard from the Oz travellers – must be having a great time. I will send an email and see if I get a reply

Another family milestone was reached today – Louise and Kieran’s daughter has turned 21 and is celebrating her birthday this evening in Albury.

“CONGRATULATIONS JENNIE”

Well as usual the two animals have arrived at my feet; Jessie has just jumped up onto the chair and has settled beside me. So it cannot be far from their bed time and tea.

See you next week on the net.
