Week 46 – The McLeod Super Pipe Line

It’s Sunday – my apology for not being on line last night. We have been to Bendigo again. We went to pick up my new toy. We had seen a new Jeep CRD – diesel 4WD a couple of weeks ago and the offer was great- too great to resist. It has everything that opens and closes – navigation system- rain sensitive wipers- heated front seats- Bluetooth enabled phone system which is voice activated – and all the normal things. Allison and Chris thought we should leave it in their garage and our Chris arrived to have a look and drive.Nicole went to Geelong on Sunday to meet up with her mum for shopping while Peter her dad when to see Geelong play. Better luck next time Peter.

Last week I mentioned the Super pipe line bring water from Wangara Basin to Bendigo , well Allison and Chris thought they had better install their own – see picture below for the Mcleod Super pipe line. Also the strange inhabidents in the pool. The rain has made this weekend a great one – so wide spread and listening to the farmers talk about their first major falls in years.

Jill and I had our first major drive, bringing it back to Wangaratta – this afternoon – it is certainly great to drive. I can’t wait to hook the van up and try out its towing capacity. It can tow up to 3500Kg and has a tow ball weight of 325kg. I have booked it into the auto electrician to fit electric brakes and an Anderson plug for the caravan.

Back to our lives we have continued to be active in the gym and down at the net ball courts – Jill has continued to show great improvement in walking –holding my hand. Because we have been to Bendigo for three days she will hate me this week because I will be pushing her to make up a couple of exercise sessions. We have Beth back on Wednesday to check Jill’s progress.

We have our appointment to see our GP on Monday re “Terazosin“, Chris has been on the internet and tells us it is available in Australia and is also on the PBS list. We have not had a reply from our neurologist.

Thursday we are having a visit from a couple who enquired about stem cell treatment a few months ago. They are driving up from Melbourne to talk to us. As I said last week I had been interviewed about our reaction to the passing of the cloning bill in the Victorian Parliament last week. The article appeared in last Monday’s Chronicle.

Well the weekend away and the drive home has caught up with Jill and she needs to go to bed and my other mates who have obviously missed us want some attention.

See you next week on the net
