Week 32- Make us an offer

Yes it’s still hot and it looks like Wangaratta is going to miss out on any rain as it passes over Victoria. At least the fire area appears to have collected some and the fire fighters and home owners are getting some relief.

Jill have been exercising each day , and the improvements keep appearing even if Jill is still very self conscious about how she thinks other perceive her. The walk in the parallel bars unaided is becoming easier, the length of time she stands on the balance board increases. One of the tests the neurologist uses to access Jill is for her to stand with out support and close her eyes. Her reaction to this is usually to fall backwards. Well it is one of the new exercises Beth has given her and today I timed her at about 70sec. Her ability to walk up and down the steps is also improving. We have been down to the netball courts again and the stamina is returning. Jill walked using a single crutch and my hand the length of one court and return and followed this up by walking with the walker the total five courts and back. I am certain she likes the pool the best so we have made it the last thing of the day to finish on a high.

Beth has organised Jill’s next appointment for Monday morning and she is off to the netball courts followed by a cappuccino. I will need to make sure we get an early start.

Keiran, Pat and I together with Mum (Gwen) made the decision to put Mum’s home on the market this week so if there are, any potential home buyers out there, who would like to make an offer now is the time. Brick veneer home built 1949 on a very deep block, ideal for the buyer who wants to renovate and needs the land to extend. Mum feels she has made the right move to St Catherine’s Hostel but to sell her home of some 40+ years is an emotional time. MAKE US AN OFFER.

We are to have a visitor for a couple of days this week. Allison is coming over to be with us as well as help Jill buy an outfit for Chris and Nicole’s wedding. I know this is going to be expensive. But to see Jill at the wedding will be worth it all.

I have been writing this and watching Leighton Hewitt playing Gonzales. With Hewitt down 2-0 I was going Ok now Hewitt is back in the game I will have to finish so I can watch the game. See you next week on the net.
